Meet Mike

AAMPED Labs was created by Mike, the founder behind Car Audio Amplified. His background crosses the lines that eventually became AAMPED.

30+ years in car audio

Hands-on experience with high-output systems, electrical upgrades, multiple alternator configurations, battery systems, custom enclosures, system tuning, SPL-focused builds, and sound-quality systems.

Professional DJ experience

Years behind the decks from Germany to the United States created a different understanding of music. Not just how it measures, but how it feels when a real system is moving air in a room.

Music editing and Chopped & Screwed work

Hands-on experience manipulating music, including chopped and screwed work involving recognized musicians, developed a deep understanding of pitch, timing, low-frequency behavior, and how dramatically a track can change while still preserving its musical identity.

Music mastering

Mastering experience brought the other half of the equation together. Frequency balance, dynamics, gain structure, headroom, vocals, transient control, and loudness all matter when the goal is not simply making something louder.

Musical background

Years of performing, reading, arranging, and working with music developed an ear for how instruments are supposed to coexist. AAMPED is not supposed to make bass compete with the singer. It is supposed to make the entire system sound better.

Graphic design and digital product design

The interfaces, identity, apparel, artwork, and digital experiences connected to Car Audio Amplified are built from inside the culture rather than designed to imitate it.

Technology

Years of application development, infrastructure, networking, and enterprise technology experience provide the foundation underneath AAMPED. The experience around the processing needs to be fast, reliable, and intuitive.
