Car audio mastering

Mastered for the system in your car.

AAMPED Labs is car audio mastering built in-house by Car Audio Amplified. Its proprietary engine took four years to build, first for the Car Audio Amplified app, and was released on its own to give car audio listeners something they have never had: every song built around the tune of their own box.

10 free masters every month. No card needed.

Not a bass boost. Not a rebassed upload.

Turning the bass up is not mastering. Neither is a song somebody rebassed once for their own car. AAMPED Labs reads your whole song and builds the master for your system, so it plays louder and hits harder without burying the vocals or clipping the amp.

What it is not

Bass boost. Raises everything below a frequency. Vocals get buried and the amp clips.

One-size "rebassed" uploads. Made once, for someone else's box and someone else's car.

Generic mastering. Built for earbuds and streaming, not for subwoofers in a trunk.

What AAMPED does

Built around the tune of your own box, from 10 to 80 Hz

Louder and harder hitting, with the vocals kept clear

Every peak protected, so the file never clips

Rebass + master moves the bassline onto your tune, Tune Lock lands it exactly

Hear a preview before you spend a credit

Full songs, verified before you download, MP3 320 or WAV

Built from experience you cannot copy

AAMPED Labs comes from Car Audio Amplified, founded by Mike, who has spent more than 30 years in car audio. The engine behind it is proprietary and built in-house over four years and tuned by ear on real car systems.

That is why it cannot be replicated. A preset or a setting can be copied. Years of listening to real systems, and knowing what makes a song hit in a car, cannot.

Two ways to master

Rebass + master

Moves the song's bassline onto your box tune and masters the whole song. Tune Lock (Pro) lands the main bass note exactly on your tune.

AAMPED Master

A louder, harder-hitting song with more volume, built around your system, keeping the song's own sound.

Questions

What is car audio mastering?

Car audio mastering prepares a song for the way a car system actually plays music: subwoofers in a box tuned to a frequency, amplifiers with real limits, and a cabin that changes the low end. AAMPED Labs masters each song around the tune of your box so it plays louder, hits harder and stays clean.

Is AAMPED Labs just a bass boost?

No. A bass boost turns up everything below a frequency, which muddies vocals and pushes amplifiers into clipping. AAMPED Labs reads the whole song and builds the master around your box tune, keeps vocals clear, and protects every peak so the file never clips.

What is the difference between AAMPED and a rebassed song?

A typical rebassed upload is one version made for someone else's system. AAMPED Labs masters your song for your own tune, with AAMPED Master for a louder, harder-hitting song, and Rebass + master when you want the bassline moved onto your tune.

Who built AAMPED Labs?

AAMPED Labs was built in-house by Car Audio Amplified, founded by Mike, who has more than 30 years in car audio. The engine took four years to build, first for the Car Audio Amplified app, and was released on its own so every car audio listener can use it.

Can other apps copy the AAMPED engine?

The AAMPED engine is proprietary and built in-house. It was tuned by ear on real car systems over years of work, and the experience behind it is what makes the result. A setting can be copied; that experience cannot.

Which bass tune should I choose?

Choose the tuning frequency of your subwoofer box. Most ported car audio boxes are tuned between 28 and 40 Hz. Not sure? One-Click picks the best tune for the song.

Will it damage my subwoofers or amplifier?

AAMPED masters are peak protected, so the file itself never clips. At the strongest settings the app shows a short reminder to watch your amp's clip light and ease the head unit back if your system distorts.

Is AAMPED Labs free?

Yes. Every account gets 10 free masters every month, no card needed. Pro adds more masters, Tune Lock, WAV downloads and advanced controls, and credit packs are available without a subscription.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. AAMPED Labs runs in your phone or computer browser and installs like an app. Your song is mastered right on your device by the AAMPED engine and saved to your library, with playlists and offline listening.
